LifeFlight Foundation Teams Up with Local Maple Syrup Producers
LifeFlight was designed for the people of Maine, ensuring everyone across the state has access to the care they need, when they need it. Our partnerships with Maine businesses and brands are strong, because our commitment to Maine is unwavering. We are always eager to work with people, companies, and organizations across our state who are as committed as we are to this place and the people who call Maine home.
This year, the LifeFlight Foundation put out a call on social media looking for maple syrup producers who would be interested in collaborating on gifts for our Loyal Donor Program. The Foundation received an overwhelming response and is thrilled to be working with multiple companies across the state, including Mattakeunk Maple in Lee, Maine.
“We were very excited to see LifeFlight of Maine’s Facebook post looking for Maine maple syrup producers that would be interested in collaborating in their donor program,” shared Andrew and Christine Mallet of Mattakeunk Maple. “Getting help from a larger Maine business to showcase special products is vital for small companies like us, especially in rural Maine.”
The couple also has a personal connection to LifeFlight and was eager to help the organization in their own way.
“LifeFlight of Maine is important to our family as our children serve in the medical field and are directly impacted by LifeFlight of Maine and the critical service they provide. Without this important resource, emergency situations in our rural communities could look very different,” Andrew and Christine added.
“We know that the people who support LifeFlight care deeply about Maine and the people who call it home,” said Ashley MacMillan, Director of Annual Giving. “Thanking our donors by partnering with local businesses felt like a natural extension of those shared values.”
LifeFlight is also partnering with Bumpus Farm and Red Barn Maple. The Foundation has worked with several other businesses over the years, including Bixby Chocolate, Carrabassett Coffee Company, and L.L.Bean.
