  • Maine is home to Acadia National Park, one of the top 10 most-visited national parks in the country. The park includes 27 miles of historic motor roads, 158 miles of hiking trails, and 45 miles of carriage roads. The park is open year-round.
  • Maine is home to 48 State Parks and Historic Sites. These sites provide thousands of miles of hiking trails and multi-use trails as well as great spots to swim in the ocean or one of the state’s many lakes. Camping is available at 12 of the State Parks.
  • Maine is home to some of the best ski resorts in the Northeast, including Sunday River, Saddleback, Sugarloaf, Mt. Abram, Pleasant Mountain, and Black Mountain of Maine.
